First cycling trip to Nandi Hills

This was my first long distance trip on my bicycle.
Nandi hills is close to 150KM from Bangalore City, a favourite place for cycling, the 7KM killer ascent that one gets to do from base to Nandi Hills, coupled with the mesmerizing beauty of the hills, have always attracted the cyclists, here in Bangalore, and i was a no exception.

I did this trip on my Hero Hawk 10 speed bike, along with my 3 other group friends who had brought their trek MTB's.

We started from the silk board junction at 5AM, and was able to finish the trip in 12 hours.
It took us a lot of time, because frankly speaking i was not prepared for such  a long distance trip, coupled with my few ignorant mistakes, as in:
1)The front derailleur of my bike was not functioning, and i didn't bothered to get it serviced
2)Had a terrible fall, got hurt in knees, so pedaling became quite difficult

The place, is beautiful, definitely worth visiting, infact i'll suggest if you're really looking forward to visit this place, then rent a bike, and go.
I am attaching a few pics, hope you will enjoy them, and would get motivated enough to scale the heights.

One of the view that we captured, while cycling to the top

The first hair pin bend curve No.33, it was damn difficult to cycle here, since it was my first time

Finally, we were nearing our destination

The only thing in my mind after seeing the gate - I DID IT, IN MY FIRST ATTEMPT !!!

Preparing for the return journey
